Between The Lines

Biography

« furious new york hardcore with a serious blast of moshmetal mayhem »
BTL was formed in the mid nineties by some dedicated younsters out of the Brasschaat (Antwerp) area. They wanted to express their feelings of anger, joy and despair by playing New York hardcore influenced music. Hitting hard and going straight forward, charged with the most heavy mosh and chugga chugga rhythms you’ve heard in ages. All of this spiced up with personal lyrics that confront you with the good and the bad, sadness and hapiness of everyday life. In 1998, BTL released their debut seven inch on Funtime and Fallen Angel. This ep did get a great response and the band started playing out of town a lot. They did various Spanisch tours before they started recording for their split cd with New York cultband Against The Grain. This split was released in 2001 and got the band some more attention from both press and audience. In 2002, they started working on their debut full length cd/lp, that was released in the spring of 2003 and contains – without any doubt- their best songs to date. Energetic, heavy, fastforward and honest as f*ck. That’s what BTL stands for. Check them out live whenever you can!
