A while ago, some bands from the Diest area, like Buckshot and Ebony H.P. broke up. Out of the ashes arose a totally new band with members that shared a passion for melodic and intense, emotional hardcore. Cast-Down was the name of the newborn band and some time later they released they released their debut seven inch on the local Watch’m Burn label. A seven inch that showed a band with a lot of talent, dedication and emotion. Since the release of that seven inch, CD started playing more and more, spewing out their heartfelt tunes. Being compared to Hot Water Music, Grade and Serene, the band soon built up a dedicated following. In 2001 Cast-Down headed for the studio to record ‘an attempt to make moments last’. Their debut album with guest appearance by Eppo of Cornflames. This debut was released on Funtime in november and received a warm welcome. Cast-Down started doing some tours in Italy and the UK and all over Belgium.
Right now, the band is ready to enter the studio for the recording of their follow up album, that will be released on funtime records in march of 2004…
