Cranck

Biography

« great rocking poppunk , formerly known as Wölf »
1996 is a year to remember, cause that’s when founding members Stefan and Kris got together to make the kind of music they always wanted to play. Catchy emotional poppunk with a rockdrive not too many bands come across to. They soon started playing concerts a d got themselves selected for both Debuutrock and the famous Rock Rally (the two most important rockcontests in Belgium at that time) in 1998. In the meantime, they recorded some songs in various well known studios with talented producers like Staf Verbeeck of the Jet Studio (who worked with band like Metal Molly or The Scene) or Patrick Delabie of Studio 195 (worked with Five Days off, Facedown, Travoltas, Orange Black…) While constantly playing their guts out with bands like Venerea, Jughead’s Revenge, PN, Circle, Undeclinable, Heideroosjes and many others, Wolf got noticed by Funtime Records. Both partners decide to team up and in early 2002, the debut album ‘Gas Guzzlin’ Girls’ is released. An album , filled with catchy hooks, beautiful vocals and rocking poppunk tunes. The first pressing of this album sells out in a few months and the band can play as support for several big acts, including Levellers and Sum 41. But in the meantime, some other bands called Wolf are released and the band decides to change the bandname into Cranck. The new pressing of ‘Gas Guzzlin’ girls’ got a new lay out and is released with the fresh bandname Cranck. Cranck is playing as much shows as possible to promote this repress and the new bandname
