Dearly Deported

Dearly Deported

Biography

When three friends started playing instruments in the summer of 2000, they soon felt the need to start jamming together. A fourth musician was found in 2001 and some first songs were written. They all decided to choose Dearly Deported as a bandname. In december of that same year, a first demotape was recorded , called ‘Revenge of the henpecked' and DD started playing out live. In may 2002 drummer Marijn got replaced by newcomer Manu en together with him, a new ‘self titled' demo tape was recorded. In the meantime, DD was gaining quite some live reputation by opening Crammerock, winning some local rockcontests and playing a lot of clubs. But sadly enough, Manu leaves after having played about 25 shows with the band. Jurgen (formerly drummer of Waxflower) joins Dearly Deported in 2003 and finally all pieces fall into the right place . DD starts playing more and more concerts and they get the third place in the final of the famous Rockvonk contest at the end of 2003. In the meantime, the band composed a whole lot of rocking punksongs and entered Dé Studio in Asse to start working on their first full length cd, produced by Dirk Miers, who's known for his work with bands like Circle, Janez Detd., PN, Discipline, Cornflames and a lot of others. The cd is released at the beginning of 2004 , while the band got a bright future ahead of them with lots of shows and –most important of all – 100 % punkrock dedication!
