One Fine Cast was founded in springtime of 2002, and this in the H8000-area. The four members have a mutual history with the punk band SSOY (Sincerely Sick Of You). Through the differences of every individual, and yet a mutual interest in harder music, they were developing an original style, somewhere between hardcore and punk music. In the autumn of 2002 the mini-cd ‘give the kids a reason’ was recorded. One fine cast started playing a lot of shows, including the Ieperfest, and the band became a well-known name in their region.
In 2004 plans were made to release a mini cd called ‘Pride of Humility’. So One Fine Cast wrote songs and started recording in Dé Studio.
At the end of 2004 a super release party was held in Jeugdstadion Ieper. A lot of fans showed up and made it turn out into a nice ‘diving-moshing-singalong-fest’. An that’s exactly one of the best descriptions for this band.
